Imperfection

Let me teach you how to treat me

With forgiveness and patience

I’m not so good at perfection.

I know you won’t mind when I tell you I tried for many years

but it almost killed me

So I have learned to err

And indulge

And muck around in grace

trying to share it ~

with myself

and my “traffic mates”

with the sales people at Value Village

and my beautiful, talented children.

When I mess up,

it would be perfect

if you would remember

that I may be doing exactly what I should
