White Flour

David Lamotte is a friend of mine. Of course, when you meet him, you pretty much become his friend. I teased that when I requested to be his FB friend, I was so proud to join 2,500 of his most intimate friends. There isn’t much room in his heart for anything but friendship. And he has had a very public life.

I don’t know if you have a friend like that; the kind of person who makes you want to be your best self. But I hope so. I am lucky to have a few.

I wanted to share him with you all. He is publishing a children’s book called, White Flour. It is based on a poem that is so worth your reading. It is a true story about a group of people who looked for a creative, non-violent response to a KKK parade in Knoxville TN, just 6 years ago. Their efforts yielded good results. Surprisingly, they actually joined the parade. But not in the way you might think. Why don’t you click onto this link to his Kickstarter campaign and see why I think so. I know you will be encouraged and humored and grateful for creative, persistent, risky behavior on behalf of peace with justice.
