If we kiss

sit here beside me
no … closer
press your shoulder into mine
and your leg
I want to know you are
here

don’t speak…
just be here
in this moment

I can hear your breath
and feel your body
rise and fall
like the tide

sure
we can touch

but with
fingertips
to palms
that’s all

if we kiss
let it be with eyes
and noses
and hands on  faces
and tickle-brushes of  lips
in the corner of smiles

like that

just like that

speak only of
what is true
for you
share
what sits in the layers
of your body
and soul

tell me what moves you
and how you will
love
yourself
into peace,
and the world
into justice

after the sweetness
of this …

go!

and do
what is yours –
given
broken
and blessed

may these adorations
fill up
the darkness
with
fire
